hi all im back again having posted on here before wanting some advice and thanks for it i ve been away and had a re think i still want to get into the carpet cleaning but after adding up the prices off courses and machines etc after talking to people i thought about using the budget i have put a side to buy a karcher puzzi 100 to start cleaning car upholstery ive got the garage to do them in and i know a number off people in that trade who buy and sell cars etc so hopefully build money up this way to invest into the carpet cleaning so will these machines do the the job i am intending to do thanks all

I cleaned a rug for a guy last week who was a vehicle valeter (that perhaps tells you how much confidence he had in his gear - the fact he got someone in to do his rug).
He was using a Numatic George as his upholstery cleaning machine.
Here is another alternative. Think it might be in the same league as Puzzi 100 and George

If thats the type of machine a valeter will use, then go for it, it can be used as you move into carpet cleaning - not as the main machine but as a spotter machine.

thanks for that joe l had a look at the George ones and i was not to keen on them i know karcher is a good make for pressure washers so i thought these would be good to start off with

Numatic is generally very good kit, and great customer service. This added to the fact that they are English means that you can spend your miney with confidence (as long as you're not after a proper HWE machine!).

That looks like Ian Harper in the photo !
As spotters or for very small jobs they look ideal and good value

thanks would they be any good for small bedrooms , stairs etc what course would be good for me any in the north east

I started off 17 years ago with a Numatic CTD575 - they still do a similar machine for about the same price - approx £600.
Twin vac motors, about 45psi.
Worked it for many years but only doing the odd carpet clean.
It will do a job if YOU put the effort in.
Obviously now cleaning fluids are better then 17 years ago.
What I would do now is get a good non detergent cleaner ie M-Power/Nemesis, DFC210, Pure Clean to use as a hot prespray (not too much), get a good stiff long handled brush and give it some good agitation (a proper workout), and then rinse with clean water or with a bit of M-Power/Nemesis.
I reckon you will get some good results. You will also need some spotters.
Dont be tempted to use strong detergents. Yes it will clean the carpets but you wont be able to rinse sufficient to get all residue out, therefore attracting dirt quickly.
Use any profits to save up to buy a bigger more powerful machine.

Funnily enough here on Ebay is a machine just like the one I mentioned I started with, and it happens to be in Warrington - but its not me!
