Well a little report and update.
Still working perfectly and in my view combining all the advantages of the lightness of a fishing pole with the convenience of a telescopic.
For 90% of my round I run it at 4 lengths - about 20ft - (out of a possible 6 or 7) with a seperately purchase rubber ferrule (foot) on the end of the 4th section.
The knurled adjusters and the clamps work well.
Even in the heat of the last few days I have run good days without feeling too knackered.

I take it the sections are all removable
And how do you like the clamps are they easy to get on with its just they look awkward to use from the pics i have seen do you get used to them

Malc have you got any pics of your pole as it is now. I need to have a chat with Alex but think he's away at mo. Be interesting to see another. Mine is also 3mths old use it around 50% of the time. Just curious.
Thanks

Are yours the ones with the new clamps? If they are, how you getting on with them? My SLX is about 15 months old now, and i like the clamps i have now.

The new clamps are better than the allen key clamps, not so bulky and dead easy to adjust with the new wheeled nut. Syd 8)
