Title: Connection to standard tap??
Post by: Fieldsy on May 31, 2009, 12:14:52 am
Sorry folks here's another post................and subsequent questions ::)  The RO unit I'm looking at getting has this fitting on it (is this standard??). All I want is a hoselock connection and pipe from my garage tap to the RO. Is this possible??

Thanks

Fieldsy

Yeah pull all of that brass crap off and fit by standard plastic hoselock to your outside tap.
What system is that?

Yeah had a quick look at that. Its got a small pump attached to it. Seems a good price but I cant see where the connection to the unit is.
You should be able to connect a small length of standard hose pipe from the unit to an outside tap easily enough though.

Go an have a look at Soap National,{not an advert } their about hours drive from you in Suffolk, B4 you buy.

Thanks John, yeah it does look a good buy 5 stage 100gpd and pumped and automatic flushing..................probably crap!!!...lol   but if I don't try I'll never know. I'm sure there will be a way around it. Thanks for your input John

That size ro will be enough for you to test the water, adding another membrane is possible as well.
But you surely won't get near a 1/1 waste ratio until you get to a 300gpd with booster pump size.
You can buy hose connectors here.
