i bought a extracta with scrubber delux, havent used it yet, but no one talks aout these machines on here. mine is a 100 psi pump, you guys on here r talking 400 and 500 psi, r extracta any good of have i blown my hard earned cash?
-
for 20-30yrs all carpet cleaners had was 70-100psi pumps, they still did a good job. High PSI is overated, you will still achieve brilliant results with that machine.

cheers, i thought i was fighting a losing battle before i have started. everyone local to me said they were the dogs b******s

From what I believe a few cc’ers on here started with these machine and also from what I understand a very good machine, they call mine a starter I call theirs a wanabe ;D

You do tend to start with one machine and end up with another, go out get some work do as good a job as you can and earn some money.
The best advice I can give you is get some education/training this will fast track you and you'll learn how to get the best cleaning out of your machine aswell as giving you the technical knowledge to talk to your customer as a professional aiding you to sell better.

i done a course with extracta around 6 years ago so i could do carpet cleaning aswell as window cleaning but never got round to it as i was too busy. i am half way through he manual i bought off them to brush up but as of yet havent done a real customer.

John Kelly at Restormate is good to know and also Julie Roberts at Chemspec they also do IICRC courses and these are worth all of their money IMO, usually they are about £200 but the knowledge that you get is fantastic.

where r these courses, i am in the north east? ps is the extracta course no good?
-
Extract and prochem etc are good but you'll learn alot more with IICRC courses, restormate are in Newcastle and Chemspec in Bradford if you contact each then they will tell you when their next courses are and where as Chemspec tend to do roadshows.

Don’t think JK will lead you up the garden path he’s been at the front end so to speak, been on a few of Julie’s courses.
Can’t comment on extracta but have been on Prochem’s RT days no hard sell sent staff member on ashby’s came back this is what you need to buy.

You are not alone, I use exactly what you've got and I've not had 1 complaint about the work I have carried out using this equipment.... The Scrubba is so under rated and to be honest, I like it that way... It does what the name suggests and brings pile up so good that by custys always comment...
I did add a 135 psi pump into my exel with surprisingly excellent results and the twin motors more than cope with the extra 35 psi....

fellow extracta eh, u local colin, wouldnt mind some advice from time to time

Colin, how you getting on now you reaffirmed your decision to stay CC?

I'm a Cumbrian living and working in New York..... I mean Cornwall mate.... Glad to help out any time!!!!
Mike and Clinton..... I've been too busy to think about anything else other than carpet cleaning. A couple of weeks ago my old ship mate was telling me they were looking at us "Seaking Engineers" and we were being offered work in Mumbai,India. £60k for 6 months work. (They've bought loads of our old Mk 6 Seakings and don't know how to make them work ;D ;D ;D) But I love what I'm doing and I just want to get better and better at it and carry on getting job satisfaction and working for the best boss in the world... ME! ;D
Besides, it's a single mans life working all over the world, I'd miss the wife and kids too much.....
