Many years ago, we had a fiat.
It was as reliable as ever. Always started. However we do not use them now.
We need big engines and pulling power in our line of work as it varies alot.
We use Mitsubishi l200 pickups. 2.5 turbo diesels.
They have carry boys so they are like vans as well as a decent comfortable drive and smooth riding. Plus most people move out the way when they see these comming.

I used to work in the auto trade and the long standing joke was that FIAT stood for Fix It Again Tomorrow. Obviously all cars are a lot more reliable nowadays and as far as I know they are priced pretty well. Never actually had one so can't comment personally but if you have a dealer locally that can often be a plus.

Err thats just like Ford= fix or repair daily.
So I dont think the actual car names are anything to go by.
Its like any make and model. As I said, we have l200 now, previously had Navaras and nothing but issues.
Then I have a jaguar thats my personal car. Soveriegn. Absolutely superb but you get what you pay for. It has never let me down but to be honest I wouldnt want it to as It will be a huge bill when it does.

Small van wise we have always had great service from our Berlingo's (I KNOW).
Only contract hired the first one as it was sooo cheap (£89 plus VAT pcm - 3 years ago) but since then have always used them with no problems (as long as ride quality isnt too high up list of imperitives!!).

Hi,
I have had a Scudo 2.0JTD, got one year old in 2005, 13000 miles, now done 90.000 not one single problem other than two new tyres, no even a spot of rust. Excellant vehicle
Compare with
LWB Transit brand new 2004. Rust bucket. massive hole in sill. Major judder problems with 2.4 diesel, unable to fix. Poor build quality ( Made In Turkey or by Turkeys) Used less than the Scudo 54,000 miles. My Friend has a 2008 Transit from new, valets every weekrnd, and that has started to rust!
Regards
Graham

Ran my Fiat Doblo cargo for last 3 years without a single fault apart from pads and tyres at last MOT.
