if you have a 300gpd on roughly 24/7 how long will the membranes last before they need a change tds before ro is 415 any help would be great.

Couple of years...I would have thought...as long as you protect those membranes correctly i.e temps, filter changes and flushing.

Dave is right, change the pre filters every 3 months and flush the system. With tds that high you might want to fit a water softner.

It's normal for it to be high when 1st turned on. What is the tds of the water out the ro after a few minutes?
I run mine for a few minutes before i connect it to my di vessel. The tds comes down considerably from when it 1st starts.

Using a water softener will pre-long the life of your RO Membrane
