Yes it will be locked along with the FAO Alex posts, if you want advertising you will have to pay the rates.

I have been around long enough to see when topics are being bumped, When a guild topic reaches the bottom of the first page it gets bumped, then when it has been done to death up pops another one suprise suprise.

We moderators arent as dumb as we look

Dave,

Out of interest if the issue is advertising revenue why are you locking the FAO Alex posts, as far as I can tell they are members of the forum asking a genuine question?

AGAIN Dave, The Guild is a non-profit organisation. Yes when we're mentioned here we do get a bit of publicity which we appreciate, but we do not sell for profit, nor do we provide any products or services that are in any way in competition with CIU or express cleaning. In fact there is a link on the Guild website back here,.. we're actively promoting CIU!!

I was informed that this had been discussed with Mike and that the Guild had free reign (Within reason) to post here? Has this changed? If it has, I've had no direct communication from either Mike or yourself in this regard?

I put a lot of time an effort into the Guild and don't get a penny for my efforts, as do all the other admin, so it kinda gets on my nerves when you seem to always be knocking something that is only designed to help window cleaners!

yes pathetic isnt it.

As for FAO Alex atc , he has an email linked to his site you can contact him that way.

I have nothing wrong with people talking about the guild, but it is getting blatantly obvious whats going on.

Nat, i suggest you have another chat with Mike

We all have email addresses, are all FAO posts now going to be locked.

I don't really care because if I want to contact Gardiners I will phone the office or Alex's mobile, but you pointed out that people are trying to get around paying advertising revenue - the FAO Alex posts are clearly not written to do this, so is there another reason for locking these posts??

The Fao alex posts are annoying because people only have to email him, some days we have about 4 FAO alex.

Alex also agrees that people should email him direct.

Talking about Alexs products is fine, just dont use it as his personal message board.

FAO posts are ok within moderation, but the same people are constantly doing the same FAO, Ie Alex , The Guild, Matt etc, if you want to contact these people "email them"

As a guild member and someone very much in favour of it's many benefits which include belonging to a prestigous trade organisation for only £12 and a year, getting help with branding in terms of using the thermopure and aquapure logos and also a privated members only forum where anything a bit 'sensitive' can be discussed in a friendly enviroment...

Having said all that this particular thread is a bit clumsy and i have to agree with dave.

I didn't know we had a forum, I've not had my things through but imagine they will be here soon as I'm on the list of members.
