Title: Bungalow gutters
Post by: ftp on May 27, 2009, 07:22:46 pm
Had a custy today who thought fifty quid to empty, clean and wash soffits was too high.
I explained he had even more roof area than most houses but he thought it should be far cheaper because it was just a bungalow. Took me ages too.  ::)

surprised he didn;t ask for a seniors discount too..

Yeah slightly easier to do, but still wouldn't decrease the price as you say more likely to have more.

End of the day the charge is per time on the job (for me anyway), regardless of height.

More than 2hrs - a real pain very difficult access with garden ponds, sheds, garage roofs in the way. Wasn't so bad i suppose because I had written the day off anyway because of the rain.

£50???

I charge €135 for an average 3 bed semi (inc cleaning external windows),.. maybe a little less for a bungalow, but like you said there's actually a longer length of guttering on the average bungalow, so despite it being lower it usually takes just as long!
