just back from collecting in w/c money, this one custy gives me the £10 then he says wait a min i paid you already on friday, i said that i never collected on friday, thats why i am collecting now, rather than get into an argument, i apologies and left, what else could i do, but one things for sure he wont get away with it next time,
-
Has someone collectd your money Jo?
-
no matt, the rest of the street paid no problem, this is one of my highest paid rounds, and everyone knows everyone there, and the last thing i need is to have one custy say i was trying to get more money out of him, so i appologiesed and walked away, rather than risk getting a bad name from one customer, maybe he suffers from memory lose or something ;D
-
thing is mate that he will think he has gotten away with iy now and will defo chance his arm again in the future, you should have stood your ground and pushed him on the matter.

i know i should stand my ground, but this round is worth £300 every fortnight to me, and for the sake of a tenner, its not worth hassling him, hopfully he gets his memory back, but am ready for him if he trys it on again,

I would start giving him receipts with your own copy in a duplicate book :o

I've recently had to let one away with it cos she just refuses to pay, I've been round maybe 10 times, and she says she's got no money to buy food and stuff.. what can you do? To make matters worse, she's a neighbour, so I have to look at her gleaming windows..
-
dont clean them again. he will soon realise you dont like getting ripped off. tell the others why you stopped doing his windows.
-
dont worry, if he trys it on again, hes gone, >:(

Its annoying when you don't get paid but don't get all eaten up about it. After all its only one customer.
My mate did four bathrooms in a block of flats that were being refurbished and the sub contractor went bust before he got paid. Thats the time to start getting all eaten up about it.

I do a coffee shop, and last time I was off a mate did it, and didn't collect the dough. When I tried to collect the following week they said they had, I've known the mate for years so I know that's not true.
Took this Monday off and the same mate covered it. The guy in the shop says to him, 'sorry I can't open the till' so he went back the next and collected. Talk about try it on again. ::)
