We moved into a brand new house over Christmas and I am noticing that our 80/20 is starting to look a bit grubby at the foot area of the sofa.... We have banned shoes, dogs, cats and bare feet but I'm itching to clean the carpets....
In our old house with dogs running riot, shoes on and food everywhere and the main door leading out to the main street, I was cleaning my carpets every 6 weeks.... and they needed it!
How often do you clean your carpets... and upholstery??

Hi Colin
I never clean my own carpets. It ruins them ;)
Safe and happy cleaning :)

I wait until I get a half price leaflet through the door - I can't afford me ;D
Seriously, carpets (beige, 2 dogs and dirty me) yearly, suites leather so a quick wipe with a damp cloth. :-X

whenever i have a new chemical to try or need to test an adaption to my machine I'll clean my own carpets.
I probably do them every 3-4 month
my suites are both leather so they get cleaning whenever I'm bored or the wife wants me to do something i don't want to, "sorry can't do it I'm cleaning the suite"

i dont clean mine cause they get dirty quicker. lol

I clean mine about every 3-4 months, it's a bit of a chore as I have to clean the kids bedroom and they are usually a tip and you are looking at 4 hours to go all through but I usually do it all in one go as I don't feel like doing 1 room at a time, I have an aniline suite so that gets cleaned and colour balmed and that's another time consuming job, I clean and protect it every 3-4 months and a balm once a year ish, we live in an older house and you tend to get a more dusty feel to it, before we lived in a new build and that kept clean far easier.

honestly , after the Mrs has moaned at me a few times its around every 4/5 months.
but the payment is always worth it ;) :-*

Do mine every 2 or 3 months,we have carpet in our kitchen,so it gets pretty minging.Even though i was a chef for 18 years,i can`t seem to cook anything without getting stuff all over it,coal fire in lounge and brick floor with a big rug, soon as i clean this one of us knocks something over it,or i get coal on it >:(

I clean my own carpets every 2 months approx.

Payment!! well actually I take it out of the kids allowences, they pay me out of their pit money for staying here and also upkeep of the premises.

Be honest.
How many of you move all the furniture when you clean your own carpets. ;D

Shaun child labour eh
cant fault ya mate ;)
move stuff !!
always, only 2 crates and a chalk board
No chalk so that just makes things less messy
