The weights and lengths are up on alexs site for th new super max poles
-
thanks for that wont be buying one thou
-
45' is only half a kilo heavier than a Superlight - could this be the end of the modular?
-
Everything from the 5 section 25' to the 10 section 47' is
"Closed length 5ft 5 inches".... good going :)

My SL2 is going on eBay tomorrow. (Not kidding)
Modular just doesn't work on my jobs, I need a telescopic. IMO you can't beat an SL2 for lightness, but for everything else I think I would prefer a telescopic. Been waiting for the new Super Max poles to launch.

You know I wonder if Gardiners may have shot themselves in the foot with this one - could you not buy a forty plus foot pole and remove the unwanted sections to take it down to thirty or twenty five and just have the one pole for every job?

That's an option that many people use. But it won't be practical if you use the 40ft pole often I don't think.
In that same light every manufacturer would have shot themselves in the foot.

Yes but the difference is that most manufacturers have long section lengths so you couldn't use your 40' plus pole for normal work. This one looks more usable. If it's an slx with more sections then one pole will do all?
-
I would use the 47ft down to 2nd floor then change over to 18ft just to save wearing it out unless its just a couple windows
-
But you could also buy a smaller pole & add to it at a later date. Removable sections was always the way to go, look how many have gone this way. ;)

It should be lighter then the standard SL-X if you take it down.

Will be up tonight, it will be a fixed price auction, no bidding. Since they are out of stock now, it shouldn't be too difficult to sell. I will post the link later.
