Title: What is your Unique Selling Point? (USP)
Post by: daysdeepclean on May 22, 2009, 05:47:03 pm
Something I've heard mentioned on here a few times is USP.... I'm not too sure what I could class as my USP, hence the question....

I suppse a common one would be "Your carpets dry in half the time of your average carpet cleaner" or words to that effect.... Providing the average carpet cleaners drying time aren't 3 days ::)

in 10 words or less tell us what makes you different from your competitors.
if this is a positive statement then this could be your USP
a usp only needs to be unique to your area not the world, so rather than think of your own steal someone else's :) :)
one of the best I've heard was Dry Fusions,
Carpets Cleaned, Dried & Ready to use in 30mins........... GAURENTEED!!

When I was carpet cleaning, I used to have both HWE and LM and so would explain that I would use the system that best suited there carpets and would produce the best results. The other thing I made a big deal about was Turbo drying their suite or carpet and that it would be almost dry by the time I left.

About 10 years ago whilst still subbing, i bought a Citroen berlingo. The sign writing was ordered, by the company i subbed to, and the van was done. A few days later a customer noticed the dozy sign writer misspelt professional. Putting 2 f's . It worked a charm everyone took a double take, so actually read what was written on the van.

I have a picture of me on the van and it works a treat, I get loads of people asking about cleaning.
