Title: Gardiners Supalite brush
Post by: Chris Cottrell on May 20, 2009, 07:48:51 am
Does anyone know "Alex" if in the last year the spec of the mono single trim brush has changed cos I bought one 12mths ago and the bristles are quite soft (this one had white stock), but the one I bought this month has firmer bristles (this new one has black stock)

Hi Chris

Yes, the manufacturer has changed from the very first batch, most people commented that they felt the original single trim was too soft, hence we have now made the bristles slightly more powerful.  Which do you prefer?

Imo the older brush is better, having slightly softer bristles, the new firmer bristles may put me of buying another

Try the dual trim chris.

I have considered this, does it splay nicely on the glass as the older S/L mono's do

I dont know if I want to get used to it, for me its about getting the right equipment that I have confidence in to enable me to be sure i'm providing the customer with a qualiy clean

The older 1 was far to soft IMO,the stiffness of the brushes in the newer 1`s are much superior.

Absolutely, the first brush didn't have enough scrubbing power, the new one was to my delight much better.

The only ones I would use the softer SL brush on, is for newer leaded windows, and deep recessed georgian panes. The mark 2 can sometimes be hard in that work.

But it's the perfect brush, in fact, I never ever change brush anymore. Hence it saves time, and earns more. It's amazing how insignificant £45 for a brush is, when it can earn you 1000x that or more! (Brushes seem to last quite long)
