hi , the small ones for say a 300 gpd ro are not rated for 24 /7 use but the big 200 quid ones are rated 24/7 depends what you need i guess - my mate used one of the heavy duty ones off cleaning spot with his merlin .
hope that helps

thanks. early days with it but i am impressed probably doubled the flow of water through the system.
any draw backs to using one? i know i,ll use more resin.
-
i get about 200lts without the booster per day
, so i was thinking running it for about 4 hours at a time ?then giving it an hour off?
-
90 mins on, 30 mins off. If you rig up a fan so that it blows cool air over the pump it will help to keep it cool and you can probably run it for longer.
but if it goes bang ............ I never said a thing. ;D

your tds out of ro will drop, so should use less resin, I need another booster pump as I burnt mine out ::) shut off vale stopped the flow and totally forgot about it...opps

90min on
30min off is the safe side of looking after the pumps, use a timer plug.
i find the transformers get warm but the pumps stay cool
