thanks rob.

What type of stone is it?
Some chemicals can make rust stains look even worse so more info needed.
-
i think its called yorkshire stone?

Ronnie
Didn't have time to give a full reply this afternoon.
Roger is right - make sure it is compatible with the stone you are removing the marks from. I saw some impressive photos of the Net trol cleaning a sandstone wall.
Yorkshire stone is a fine grade of sandstone but that is not to say that it could cause more problems

Ronnie,
Can you post a photo of the Yorkstone.
Is the rust surface rust or natural

roger when i get chance to take photos ill send some, the rust is coming from a balcony above that has rusted and the water has dripped down with water resulting in a rust stain.
-
There wouldn't be a lead flashing on the balcony by any chance?
-
cant remeber ill take some photos this week when i go to look at it, cheers rob for your replys
