Title: RX20 used with Powrflite PFX1350
Post by: kinder clean on May 16, 2009, 02:59:17 am
Did I see a post on here recently saying they used an RX20 with a Powrflite Porty ?

Whats the difference between an RX20 and a Rotovac ?

What would you expect to pay for an RX20 and how about second hand ?

Paul

Paul

A new RX20 is £ 2500 + vat, they do come up 2nd hand from time to time, about £ 1700

Must admit I was surprised when I read someone was using one with a portable - I thought they were a TM tool.

Steves right on that price and think there was on for sale a while ago.

Dont think the powerflite is going to get the benefits from the rx mind you,the rotovac would be its ideal companion..

I used a RX20 on a Prochem Commanche years ago.  Wtook out 1 of the water jets and blocked the hole off. This reduced the amount of water been used & allowed us to get the carpet abit drier.  They are mainly used on Truckmounts but can be used on portables.  Ideally the portable would require auto fill/empty otherwise as i found out you will spend more time filling & emptying than you do actually cleaning.

The RV360 is more suited for a porti, I've used an RX and it is IMO just for TM's, I used a 360 at Wolverhampton and it would easily be suited for a porti.

Hi Paul,
That was probably my post you read. I have been using the Rx 20 along with my powerfilte for about 2 years now and find it absolutely brilliant along with the powerflite. I have never had a problem recovering water and as a matter of fact, have practically retired my wonderwand as a result of its performance. Admittedly there is quite a bit of emptying and refillling but i feel its worth it because of the end results. Along with that I know its a heck of a lot faster than using traditional wand even with the emptying and refilling. I must  admit the model I have is the HE model and it has 3 Jets and 5 vac slots.
Best investment ever IMO.
Buy one you'll never look back.

Regards Bren.

Is that on commercial carpets? domestically I'd have thought it was too cumbersome.

Hi Shaun,

Thats on both. Your right small bit cumbersome but you get used to that.
