Hi Guys,
I need some advice, I viewed a commercial premesis today to tender for there office cleaning contract, as well as the office cleaning they will require there windows cleaning but due to a number of problems with access this isnt as straight forward as you might think.
The building is a 4 story office block which is set to be demolished within the next 4 years, this means they wont spend money fitting anchoring points or rails to comply with health and safey for absailing, etc. As on a couple of sides of the building there is about 4 meters between the neibouring building, a WFP system may not be ideal as the angle cleaning the top story could be insufficient. You guys are the experts so please prove me wrong :).
At the front of the building there is a single story area with a flat roof which isnt permited to work on top of, this and them not wanting there grassed areas ruined seems to rule out a cheery picker, not to mention the cost of hire!
Up to now they have used a company who has little regard for H and S so they have simply hung themselves out the windows :o
Any advice on methods that may get around the problems would be greatly recieved :)
Many thanks
Paul

difficult one without seeing it..do you have (or can get hold of) a digital camera ? If we could see a few pics of the problem, it might help to clarify a solution...just a thought....

i would clean the windows from the inside aswell

Would you require some type of anchoring point from the inside of the building to ensure H and S regs are not breached??
