Title: Longest frequency
Post by: ftp on May 13, 2009, 08:57:55 pm
Had a clean to do today that the customer said they had not been cleaned since I did them last time. Checked my records and it was August 2007! The scary thing was they didn't look bad at all.  :o

I have 3 regular customers set up on the system who have asked for six monthly cleans. What do I care? George takes care of it all and a job is a job. The scarey thing is that their windows don't really look noticably worse for the delay.

Makes you wonder why some people have their windows cleaned every month. They must either live next door to a coal-burning power station or right on top of the M1.

Ha ha ha ha , I live 10 mins drive from  Ratcliffe on Soar power station , the M1 runs  at the back of my house AND and throw in the flight path for East Midlands airport. My windows could do with doing every week never mind once a month!!!!!  ;D ;D

In your case that's fair enough but I can't understand these old gockers who want 'em done monthly and they live in a quiet little cul de sac.

No not really. In fact for the 1st year or so I took a fair amount of financial pain as I canvassed to fill in the BIG gaps. But I just got fed up with customers glaring at me when I turned up. One old man actually said: "Hello Simon did you forget something?". And I realised then that it did seem like yesterday that I last did his house and in fact his windows absolutely did not need cleaning.

So that's why I bit the bullet and pushed all of 'em out to 3 months with just one or 2 exceptions.

Nobody complained and these days they actually welcome me when I turn up because by then they could do with a clean.

Believe it or not I'm a month behind with some accounts ::)
