I'm from the CC section but was wondering.
Went to a signwriters in York city centre for a new magnetic sign for vehicle.
Parked on the forecourt was a window cleaners van having some new sign writing.
One of the signs on the door said
" we don't use water fed poles we use traditional methods, wfp are known to leave streak marks "
This was a largish city centre window cleaning firm and just wondered if it was true.

Totally agree with YWCS its a load of cods wallop.
the reason behind WFP leaving marks is down to the operator, they either place the brush with the bristles resting on the floor, wall or anywhere else it can pick up debris, or they spray the air vents above the window allowing them to drip all day long and some (not all) window cleaners dont rinse enough after brushing the window.

YWCS I must be lucky as I havent had any complaints so far of my custies who have wooden frames.
(I've probably just put the kiss of death on it now) ;D

If its very poorly painted frames and its only first floors I would seriously consider traditional method.
dont get too obsessed YWCS it will get the better of you lol ;D

I would love to live there with that sort of marketing I would clean up, as we do both ;D
total rubbish as said wfp in the right hands is far better than trad on most buildings, clearly from someone that's either tried and could not do it, or someone that does not have a clue about wfp and just slate it.

Only quoting what I saw written on the bottom of the door, not a wind up as I am from CC section so no interest to me either way.
Although I do my own windows the old way.
