Title: Shurflo Pressure Switch

can someone help:  is their a cheaper way of replacing the pressure switch on a 100psi shurflo pump?
if so how do i do it? and what do i use? and is it cost effective than buying a new one from cleaning spot for £20+P&P

When your Shurflo pressure switch goes it's only the micro switch inside that has blown which you can buy from Maplins for £1.49

You have to snap off the connector that isn't used, and when you open the casing do it under a towel so the spring doesn't shoot off

I did mine a few weeks ago with the maplin switch and did it in less than 10 mins.  I managed to fit the replacement without removing the extra connector.

thanks for that, i had to search about for the spring when i opened it up to investigate, lol.  ;D

where abouts is the microswitch, it looks to be a sealed unit, is it easy to replace?

That sealed unit is your microswitch  ;D

 so do i open it up and replace whats inside because the spring fits into place on the "switch box" and held in place by the screws? aaaggghhhh!! i'm confused already  ;D

Yeah you undo the 3 screws and inside you will find a micro switch which is identical to the one you would have bought from Maplins, just replace it and refit the screws

jusr remembred its not identical, the spade connectors are wider on the maplin one, so need to replace spade connecters on the 2 wires to bigger ones.
apart from that, its great!

Good thing is they will always fit the Maplins switch now  ;)
