just wondered how much water you lot use per house wfp.
read an old post on here regarding wcw backpacks someone said one fill last 2x3 bed semis ???
thats 7.5 ltrs per house.
if i wfp all of a 3 bed semi i must use most of a 25 ltr barrel so say 23 ltrs.
what do you lot reckon.
I currently use freedom trolley and will have to replace battery in few months.
last time it needed doing i sent back to adepta a got them to do battery and while they were at it got them to do pump and varistream controller.
bit nervous of doing it myself had a look before and sent it back as said.
that's the only promblem i find with freedom trolley it's a bit of a squeeze down there for all the bits!
was thinking of getting a wcw backpack as backup but 15ltr of water can't go very far can it?
I think it was ian lancaster post that refered to modifications? car battery, trickle charger etc.
just been thinking lately of using something else other than freedom :-\
cheers all lee

i use about a barrel a house on semi straight forward houses aswell. using the backpack i still use the same. seem just lately to be using more and more, not less and less. :'(
-
i use about 12 ltr per house
-
I would guess around 20 litres.
imo get a van mount, you don't have to worry about it much then
cue disagreements :D
-
I worked out a while ago that I use on avg around 1 litre per std window
-
Using about 23L myself, been going over a month now.
-
ex council semi, no bays, repeat clean - 12L.
-
thanks for the info all.
tar chris 1 ltr window good, sounds like i'm about average i probably could zip over a bit quicker but i suppose i'm just a belt and braces guy :)
thanks lee.

i dont use anything like the amount the rest of you guys are using, no where near....

To use less water, use a trigger or a pole tap.
The technique is:
Water on, soak the window/frame.
Water off, scrub as much or little as necessary
Water on, rinse.
My own view is that scrubbing with a strong flow is very wasteful of water.

on my last barrel of the day today i done 13 semi detached houses (upstairs only) and still had a couple of litres left in the barrel.

wow :o
is your technique kris as wally's?
always wondered about trying as said by wally.
would imagine you don't get leaky windows with this technique.
must admit i'm a fraidy cat :-[
if it ain't broke type attitude.
i suppose i don't get any probs so i just carry on as usual :)
-
The trouble i found with using minimal water is that i sacrificed speed in order to achieve it.
On repeat cleans i ended up doing 2 on 1 barrel. I only managed this by turning the dial down on the varistream.

10 to 12 ltrs on 3 to 4bed houses using backpack on regular cleans

I can just about do a standard 3 bed semi with one WCW backpackful (15 litres I think). I would feel happier using a bit more though.

half ltr per house

Eggcup full a house, results are crap but only need to carry a 2 ltr plastic pop with me for a full days work ;D
