Hi Chris,

Its just a different view of your work, similar to the schedule but shows all the jobs due on a particular day.  Ive also updated the PDA software and given it a complete overhaul. It now has some nice features like being able to call and text a customer from with the app (if you have a smartphone)

Cheers

Ian

I like the wall planner!
Can it be made so jobs can be dragged & dropped onto different days?

Is this just the handheld model? or can you also text/call customers on the desktop program too?

I have been playing around with the new update & IMO it is fantastic so well thought out and the new call/text feature is genius, the wall planner is so easy to see all of yopur schedule on one page & the whole new layout is sooo much better than the previous

Well done Ian , marvelous

just use the select box to all the ones you want on a day then change the scheduled day. it would be just as quick as a drag and drop i rekon

Hi Dave,

At the moment the Call/Text is only on the PDA version on SmartPhones (i.e phones that have Windows Mobile on them). I am working on the texting feature on the desktop in the next few updates.

To setup the PDA version,

1) Download the setup file from the www.windowcleanerpro.com/register.php?bp=1 and save it to your desktop.
2) Plug in your PDA to your computer and browse the PDA as though it were a drive on your computer. If your using ActiveSync then right click on the icon in the taskbar and click Explore.
3) Copy the setup file to your PDA.
4) On the PDA click Start -> Programs and open File Explorer
5) Find the setup file you copied and click on it. This will install WCPLite on your PDA.

I am working today on a setup file which will do all this for you, so if you want to wait for a while it will be much easier to install.

As for moving office, drop me an email when you get everything set up and I'll walk you through the procedure.

Cheers

RWC...do you have some vested interest in WCP as sometimes you really do come across as a very well laid 'plant' in the audiance..

Sorry but it just really comes across like that...

Cheers
Dave.

Hi Ian,

I have installed the wcplite update, it seems to be adding a "?" to the end of all the phone numbers.

also, when I access a job from a worksheet, there seems to be some detail missing from the screen see below.

its not a great pic sorry - fuctionality seems fine, but it says "ue" instead off "Due", and I think it should say "Last Done", but it says "Last" and the rest is cut off, dunno if there should be anything else on there too.

The missing details will be due to space on the screen, what device are you using?

I will take a look at phone numbers but am unable to reproduce here on any of the devices that I have, can you send me an email with a sample of a phone number from the main PC?

Thanks

Ian

I am using an htc touch diamond which has vga res 640x480, so I would have thought there should be more room on the screen than most other pda's.

not sure what you mean about the email???

I have entered the no.s into the desktop version in the format 01274 666999, with a space between the area code and number, then when I view the job in wcplite it shows up on the job as 01274 666999?

Cheers

Glenn

ps, on the update download page, what exactly is an "Exectable"  ;D

Cheers Glen,

I have changed the page on the site and will take a look into the screen space and numbers. One of the testers is on the HTC and has not reported any problems and I tested on a Palm Treo which has a tiny screen so its very strange.

Ill let you know how I get on

No not yet, i only bought them because they look pretty and they are alot more simple to use than a pc, imo of course. They told me in PC world something about running windows on them, so i take it i can? I have an old dell that i currently run WCP on, but would be nice if i could get it on the Mac.

it will only run on PC's but what i'm saying is that if your mac will run windows as an application then you should be able to run it! ;)

I have a few people running Parallels on the Mac but many of them have just spent the money on a laptop instead of Parallels and Vista

Like I said this has worked before for other customers but since I have not tested it in a virtual environment I dont offer any support. That said no problems have been reported so far.

Chris,

Thanks for the comments. I have done the following and the update is now available from www.windowcleanerpro.com/register.php?bp=1

New features:

1) Added a setting so that you can choose to go to the next undone job after clicking save or go back to the job list
2) Added a setting so that you can choose the display order on the job list from either Customer then Address or Address then Customer
3) Changed the collected amount to default to the same as charged
4) There is also the ability to define if the price entered in charged is a new price from then onwards.

Let me know if its ok
