Title: a wake up call
Post by: matt on May 03, 2009, 09:15:35 am
with the topic of :

wpf girl falls off bike

this should be a wake up call for running hoses over the pavement, as the economy gets tighter, more and more might be trying things like this on

Very good point Matt.

Insurance on household items and mobile phones are up (was on the radiolast week)

Maybe for those running hose over the  pavement normally, some kind of up and over frame would be better

If you use a warning sign and bright yellow microbore surely it's enough?

If you have done enough to protect the public, it’s there own fault if they ignore the warning signs.
what if its a blind person with a dog  ;D ;D

I take no risks just exactly for the same reason Matt say`s people will look for any excuse to make a claim against you,i saw a WC last week doing exactly this running his hoses all over pavements etc.If i can`t do it early or when no 1 else is around i`ll leave until i can, shops i blade very early in the mornings poleing them is to much hassel unless there huge.

One of my customers came out of her back door, stood on my micro bore and it rolled under her foot, she ended up on her backside. Luckily no harm done.
I use a trolley system and don't run hose over the pavement, so it can happen to any of us, and if it can, eventually it will.
