This is something i have been thinking about. I have found this company that do it ....

http://www.chipandpinsolutions.com/default.asp

Have a look at there FAQ's page. Im going to give them a ring i think and find out more. It would work for window cleaning and is better than carrying cash around.

the FSB do a cheap service, but ive not really thought much about it.

Its not really worth it for the £10 houses, but maybe for the £100+ cleans of sorts..

Maybe i'll ask for a info pack.. if cheques do get phased out it will be the next option.

I have been speaking with them tonight about this, less than £25 a month, or you can buy a terminal and pay 9.99 a month there are about £450 to buy.
if you have 100 £10 houses it is defo worth it if they all pay on the day, gives the added option of payment.

yeah only good if they are in.. most are not.

So otherwise it will be using a merchant service where by the card holder is not present and you have to take the card details over the phone etc..

easier to use paypal or no chex..

does anyone have a website where the customer can pay online and it goes straight into your account
or better still when the payment is made it is marked of your records

chip and pin has been in everyday use here in Holland for years but I would be very wary to use this system to take money...I just do not think the custy's would take to it and further more most are out anyway when I clean...

Internet banking transfers seems to be the ticket for me.

Cheers
Dave.

Yes Dave, attitudes are different here to internet banking, Had a good look at chip/pin machines, costs were OK if you buy the terminal, otherwise too expensive to rent and pay %.

As some have already said, not much good if the custy is out when you clean.
