Title: Best limescale remover?
Post by: ftp on April 30, 2009, 07:14:22 pm
Customer with holiday lets kindly re-turfed the area outside and left a sprinkler on day and night with tds around 300.
Windows are wrecked. I sprayed them with a limescale remover first but as the lets were occupied I haven't had the chance to get up close and personal with the glass.
What's the strongest, fastest limescale remover you have used?

Thanks Dave, I remember now. Can you get away with just soaking the glass or is some elbow grease required?

i used cillit bang on a show house where the spriklers shower the back door daily.
worked a treat, but it effects the water/detergent solution in your bucket seems to lose slip. i leave it till last and change my water after

Masonery cleaner will shift almost anything, but great care needs to be taken when using it, rubber gloves and eye protection is a must. I have used this to remove thick lime deposits from the bottom of my fibre glass boat, it was left too long on the mooring, and mussels had grown on it.

for mineral spotting I use Titan MDR formula b from the window clean centre and plastic scourers.
