Woman phones for conservatory and window clean tonight. Fine I said tomorrow ok?
"Oh no not tomorrow it's going to rain!" Later I checked my records - last time she had the same clean was June 2008.

Hi Dave dont you just the the "once a year customer"!
-
I had one today ring me and leave a message on my phone.
I would like you to clean my windows.
I want it every 3 months and i don't want it doing in the winter.
Please call me back this evening to arrange access and give me a quote.
I don't think this woman will ever find a window cleaner i certainly won't do it.

Had a guy shout out to me when I was working 'Ere mate do you do the Canterbury Rd'
Yes says I.
'Right we could with you at our place'
Ok that's fine what number I says.
He tells and says 'Come out there TODAY'
Well I try I said
'Well you make sure you do'
I'm not sure I can
'Well you'd better'
Hmm do you think I went ;D

Now I don't know .... I don't look for work like this but she is up front about it and if you price it right why not? It's when they agree to regular all year round and then they try to change it on the sly with "not today's" etc that gets me dumping them.
To sparklebright: I would have gone straight round, quoted a fiver for the first clean and cheerily doffed my cap when the guy said after I'd finished "I'll call you again when I need you..." ;D

I have to say that working for the general public these last few years has really made me cynical. I used to give people the benefit of the doubt but I've woken up to the fact that I doubt I'll get the benefit. :-\
