Hi, Won a contract but is 4 storey so going to need to invest in a 50 + foot pole
Looked into the slx but did not like the idea of putting sections together.
Was looking at the 56ft Facelift with gooseneck.
Any thoughts on weight/length etc
Feed back would be appreciated as do not want to shell out £1000 without looking into the pro.s and cons.

40 or 50 ft ? at £60 for 6ft c/f is expensive so get a big ball of string and drop it down to get the correct height you acyually need.
4 story is usually 40ft to the window lintels verticaly from the ground and that is the length of pole you need. But is the buildning on a slope ? Lift it up a few feet in your hands and that will compensate for the stepped back angle of use.

Jeff- The 4th level are set back. I have a 40 footer but still comes up short.
The Facelift poles look great but seem expensive.
Was looking to the guys with experience of using various poles at height.
Also want one that can hopefully fit inside van

have a look at the facelift site i think they,ve reduced the size of the sections on there poles , personally from all the feedback on this site facelift seem to be the only pole that never gets slagged and they seem to last for ages , i will be buying one soon regards alan

I bought the 56FT Facelift Carbon fibre pole back in 2006, it's used on a weekly basis and is still in very good condition I've never had any problems with it, I paid over £1000.00 for it, but it was a wise purchase and has paid for itself many times over. The pole fits in the back of my short wheel base Transit van, although I haven't got a bulkhead in the van.

Facelift poles are Grrrrrrreaaat poles. ;D ;D ;D

If the pole is just for this job or work at that height I would go for an SL-2 modular. I have a 44ft carbon facelift & to be honest I wouldn't want to use it at full length for more than 10 minutes at a time & certainly not all day!! However, the facelift has removable sections & so it can be used (telescopic) at any length for shorter work too, as can the sl-2 but this is modular & not as suited to normal/domestic work.
I would think very hard before shelling out your hard earned cash, as good as facelifts are, they are certainly no fun at height. ;)

The Facelift as said has removable sections so you have the advantage of using it max height every now and again but you don`t have to all the time,you can also tread on the Facelift pole and still find it`s usable unlike others mentioned.Working at that kind of height i would only ever use a SL2 but if i onlyneeded that height every so often i would buy the Facelift.
