Title: What fun
Post by: ftp on April 23, 2009, 06:32:49 pm
Decided to spool a new microbore hose onto my reel today - dead easy fixed the end and wound it on. Then I thought i would pull it out to 100m just to make sure there were no leaks on the reel end.  :o :o :o :o :o :o the whole length corkscrewed up like one of those air hoses. Took me an hour to sort it all out, much to the amusement of the whole close. :(

If you put a new reel on the ground at the back of the van the right way up it should reel straight on with no hassel if it`s the right way up the hose should not get tangled,i connect mine to the reel only and then turn the water on to check for leaks before i wind the whole 100mtrs on.

Looked the right way up to me, obviously it wasn't, so i must have wound it on the opposite way that it came off the hose making machine. Seems to have settled now.
