Why the 20% discount? I've never understood why people invite potential customers to have a free quotation and then offer to reduce the price which they've just worked out from scratch. Discounts on fixed, well-advertised prices i can understand, but not on individual quotes.

But the leaflet itself is superb, especially when you see some of the trash that people send out.

because if someone thinks they are getting a discount they will keep a leaflet for ages or even pass it on.tends not to go in bin so quickly.

So you don't think they'll think they are simply getting a discount off a made-up price to begin with  ???

I suppose this highlights the difficulty in 'reaching' all potential customers and not being able to please them all. First of all a lot of people will bin the leaflet, some like me will read them, but then thats where judgements are made. Personally i have always disposed of the ones which claim to be offering discounts when i know that the price has to be quoted on an individual basis.

If my local resturant or pizza parlour sends a leaftlet out, offering a discount off their prices -the prices being in the menu or on the wall of the resturant for all to see- then i feel i am being given a 'proper' deal. If that makes sense? And in those circumstances, i can beleive in it.

But if you are saying that it does in fact work for some customers, so be it.

Nice leaflet not too much info, kept it simple,I am using last years too finish them off,but will be getting new ones printed along similar lines ,thought about putting       FROM ONLY £35     As a lot of people seem to think that it is going to cost a lot of money for a professional service  and at least it gives you the opportunity to talk to them and sell your services.
Which way do you distribute your leaflets?
Good luck Neil

ok, what do you think about these pics instead?

I wasn't sure about the shadows on the first pic.
Which one would you say looks best?

 ;)

Hi good leaflet what you got on the back ??

also io think the top picture as it looks like a higher end client the sort of work i know i would rather get

offer  money off something like £20.00 off on production of this ad

often better than discount with no price shown custy does not know how much they would save using you over someone else??

amd a headline "like the most thorough patio cleaned garanteed" or its free*

we are so confident blah blah etc,

perhaps a testimonial from a past client

hope that is useful

by the way what chemical do you use  and how do you seal, tools etc

How could you prove that, if, say, the ASA was asked to investigate the claims made? I am not being sarcastic or picky,  i simply saying how can it be totally proven? The end result of a jet wash would, without any doubt,  be entirerly subjective.

do you think the shaddows in the first one make it look a bit messy though?
Which way do you distribute your leaflets?
I will be getting someone else to deliver them. They have quoted me £24 per 1000.
They will be giving me street names too so I can check up.

I would go with the first set of pictures.  The shadow gives the before a bit more of a dreary appearance which I think improves the after picture.

Thanks guys,
I've gone with the first ones in the end.
But I'm going to be putting "from £35" instead of "20% off", I think it will make more people make the phone call.

Thanks again! ;D

In my opinion, i think you have done the right thing there. It establishes a price in the customers mind, without leaving them thinking that you are going to over-price the job and then discount it by 20%.

I don't think the pictures in the first version do you justice due to the contrasting weather. In some ways the before picture looks better due to the sunshine.

The top picture in the second version show things better but the bottom one with you in trainers and jeans and spraying a little waywardly lack professionalism.

You could put a time limit on discount give them something to
think about and get a reaction

Funnily enough, i've just had a leaflet from a carpet-cleaning outfit and she is offering a half-price 'sale' for -as she puts it- "2-3 weeks only".

However; there is no date on the flyer, and it's the second time i've been sent one in as many months  ::)

Add to which, her leaflet gives her 'old' prices and 'new' prices (her words, not mine), and yet further down the leaflet she is inviting people to have a no-obligation quote.

So, was she ever intending to clean carpets at her 'old' price (the prices were a lot more than i had expected, so they didnt strike me as genuine), is the 'new' price absolute, or does she in fact intend to price on a quotation basis? Confused? I was.

I would to remove the cross, it is a negative thing n a flyer trying to give a positive. the other parts looks ok, I did not read to much as I was looking at the cross, which crossed it all out so didnt bother reading more.  ::)

Bad marketing idea imo

Isn't the cross there so that no one copies it from here ? I didnt see it as being part of the flyer. Or is it?

No, the cross isn't part of the design.

Ive ordered them now. 5-7 working days and ill have them.

Does £179 delivered, no VAT, sound good to you guys?

how many for 179.  I seen an offer for 1000 for 77 GBP and that included shipping on line the other day.  I am getting some flyers together soon so I have been checking.

Cheers

Agree with the trainers and jeans, why not have waterproof leggins and wellies on. Looks much more professional in my opinion.
