You work for one of the following, restaurant, school, office environment, pub, cinema, university etc (you get the idea)
You require the services of a carpet cleaner (lets say for arguments sake in Chesterfield)
You log on to google - would you search for :
A - carpet cleaner chesterfield
or
B - commercial carpet cleaner chesterfield
Many thanks

Why do you ask, because it may be the wrong question.
-
To get a more informed purchaser I'd go B, anyone who makes the effort to ask a more specific question is IMO a better quality buyer.

if you were having open heart surgery would you prefer the surgeon to use:
a) a andrioscopic incision.
or
b) a translational indirect incision.
do you see what I'm getting at? we are not qualified to give the correct answer.
we are carpet cleaners we don't work in restaurant, school, office environment, pub, cinema, university etc. our opinion is tainted & invalid. if you want to know the correct answer to your questions ask the people who work in those environments

Good point there mike :)

Clinton, I think this is brilliant ( and very sneaky) way to cold call on businesss'.
walk into any business and just say....
"sorry for bothering you, I'm trying to sort out my website with the search engines. could I ask your opinion?, if you were looking for a carpet cleaner in this area what would you type into the search engine?"
1) this is sneaky because no one minds being bothered when given the opportunity to give their own opinion on anything ( trust me this is true)
2) nowadays all business know what its like to sort out a website and use the internet ( especially hotels & restaurants) they will be sympathetic to your plight.
and once you've got the answer to your question it's just natural to say thanks and hand them a business card saying if you need a carpet cleaner give me a call, seen you've been so helpful I'll give you my special discount

Too true, I used to ask my missus if she liked my leaflets or YP ads waist of time now as she knows what I'm going to write and what customer I'm after, if I show the inlaws they say 'looks expensive' and that means that I have filtered out the price shoppers but it doesn't mean my job is finished yet.

First time in months and I have 1 space left for a small job this week, I think it must be the easter break that has done it although it is for Friday if I can't fill it today then there's something wrong.
