Title: Yell.com, the good, bad and ugly

yesterday the good, 3 calls about commercial qoutes

today the bad and ugly, 2 calls selling me mobile phones and 1 just got angry when i said i have a Pay as you talk mobile for my biz ( keep in mind i have allways had this number ), he started to get very irate at that ? ? ? ?

Thats why i pulled out of the yellow pages got fed up with 3 or 4 people a day trying to sell me stuff.

yesterday 1 of the phone calls was for a rather large contract for OAP homes they do, have you mentioned your flash pole in your Yell advert ;) that might be putting them off

i dont mind 1 off's as i give them a good price and they can take it or leave it

i dont do cheap though

The 1st job i got was £175 per month and i got the call within hours of my free advert going live last july.
I do get some mail through the door from the advert and had a couple of cold calls but this freebie has been very good for me so far.

I had one yesterday. It was a debt recovery service asking if I had any trouble collecting bad debts. My answer was "Not as much trouble as I get receiving unsolicited telesales calls" Cheeky mare told me to register with the telephoner preference service (TPS). She put the phone down on me before I could tell her that all my niumbers are so registered but unethical companies like hers ignore it. Still, what do you expect from a debt collector anyway?
