Title: Van system,which one?
Post by: heathrow100 on April 16, 2009, 10:18:39 pm
Im new to the business, having recently returned from NZ running a domestic cleaning biz.Im starting a combined wfp and driveway restoration venture. I have done plenty of research into the window cleaning side of the biz having training, website built ,and putting a strong marketing plan into place.I am undecided on which van mount wfp system to buy,I find the difference in price for a 400ltr baffled van mount system quite a bit to say the least.Anything from £850 from freedom fit it yourself model to up to £4000 for a fitted cold water system! Is there really that much difference in quality in these systems,or would I really be paying for the name? Has anyone had any experience with freedom van mount systems.

Cheers

Heath

Some look basic some look like they`ve been built by NASA,what`s the difference? NOTHING.

I started out with a Freedom trolly when round got bigger had a vanmount fitted from the same company.

I looked around at various systems, yes prices do differ, but what Freedom had to offer was a system what I could afford,
I also looked at what I could do myself on mantinance, how quick i could get parts, and what the after sales service was like,
I must say that I am very happy how I was looked after when I first started out, I did things wrong because it was new to me they were always helpfull,
I also hear they now give free traing with a City and Guild WFP Window Cleaner with any tank fitted by them
My advice is take your time look at al the things you want get prices, visit the companys, look what they have to offer, when it comes down to buying your system £6000 or £850 its 000 TDS that has to clean windows

I have a freedon van mount in one of my vans, good guys, the pure water what ever they are called I would question the securing of the tanks looking at there website.

my second system was designed for me, for my needs and was a total pain in the back side, diy if you are busy is not cheap, and is time consuming to say the least, up right tanks are better than flats imo as you can use all the water, flat you cant.

I would recommend purefreedom

Go for the Ionics system, great piece of kit.

Most people on here will say it's to expensive, that aside if they haven't used one day in day out they have no info about it.

My opinion is i really like it and will shortly be  setting another van up with an Ionics system, this time i will line the floor and fit it myself though ;)

Hi window washers I was also concerned  about safety, when mine went in a garage I asked them about how secure the tank was,
they said fine as it was secured to the chais, and there is no stronger part of the van than were they bolted it down,
so if a garage says its ok who else can you trust so im happy

HI borg that pic of the system has got the works on depending on your area you possibly dont need all that kit
you need to firstly take a reading of your water TdS
Reading through this posting give Pure Freedom a ring tell them what you need, from passed dealings with them highly recomend
there system has 20" prefilters not 10" and a single 650 tank not two single tanks as on you pic, you could save you a lot of money because you dont need half the stuff
