Anyone know anything about this machine ? looks and sounds very poor http://aura-roboclean.co.uk/franchise.html
-
What do you mean by " poor " This is a franchise with a water filtration vac and dry granule method of cleaning.
You could use a Host Freestyle to do the same job or one of several other machines costing from less than £1000 to over £2000.
O K they don't include the water filtration vacuum, but there's an excellent one available for less than £300.
For indoor air quality improvement the water filtration is vac' is excellent as it really prevents recirulating the disturbed dust / dander etc as everything is trapped in the water

I just thought that the unit looks like a medium sized vacuum and not really suitable for doing some of the jobs they say it can do ie mattress sanitation.
-
A vacuum won't sanitise a mattress although it will be used to extract dry soiling. The vacuums in the mattress cleaning franchises are usually tub vac'c with added power brush and uv light.
The claims are a bit exaggerated as the exposure to uv light is too brief and possibly too weak.
The vac' in the advert is undoubtedly powerful enough as are others and having water filtration is a major bonus.
There have been a fair number of attempts at mattress cleaning / sanitising franchising but you can easily market the concept yourself with a low outlay. When I looked at mattress cleaning I already had the machine I mentioned .......made in Italy for an English company to their specification and Promite from Alltec.
Since then other products have emerged with similar claims to Promite but the demand is just not there.
-
Yeah you are right about the demand not been there for mattress cleaning its a very small market i cant understand hwy people dont have it done when you know what is in there yuk.
I use dry steam @ 8bar to sanitise them and offer a fire protection.
-
Only problem with steam to sanitise is it's short term effectiveness as hospitals are about to find ::) ::)
-
Dry steam is the best way to sanitise mattresses so why are hospitals about to find out different ?
UV is only effective for surface and about 6mm into the mattress dry steam under pressure of over 6 bar or more can go 3 inch or more and kill most if not all mites.

As Robert says, dry steam needs a certain amount of contact time to kill any harmfull germs etc.
