Post by: Ricky M on April 11, 2009, 09:58:39 am: worked yesterday morning came ome then loaded upto to do leather work but
turned the key half way and the dash went like close encounters of the 3rd kind
1 min the lights worked then not central locking not working right
so I thought batt prob but had to look at it this morning & nothing no power at all !!
checked the power in the batt and saying full but nothing going to anything in the van at all

ANY ADVISE WOULD BE GREAT ( & coming here b4 mechanic )

You might be better going to an auto electrician.

My mate is an auto elec and he does all the audi recovery and most breakdowns are electrical..

Assume it's not the alternator that's died although you don't normally get the lighting display when srarting that you described. Just dead electrics but inexpensive to fix.

Post by: 1aacclaim on April 13, 2009, 04:13:28 pm: dont know if its any help. had a simular problem on my master van. it was the main fuse located on the battery terminals. cost about £30. from main dealers think was a 30amp fuse
