Title: Problem Sprayer
Post by: Robert Watson on April 08, 2009, 06:08:41 pm
Hi Folks.
I bought this sprayer over 2 years ago.
Your supposed to charge it off the cig lighter. HA
Bought a transformer that didn't last long.
Sent back to supplier, "Yes Yes its fine" No its not.
Tried another transformer. NO
ped off now. After about a year of it mocking me in the cupboard, I thought, Im going to get that muther working. So another transformer and battery (£75) Worked well for about a week.
Aha. Died.
Anyone else had a problem. or any thoughts. It must owe me about £500.

Cheers
Rab

I dont think too many have had good experiance with battery sprayers.

For what you spent you could have had a Hydraforce and much money spare.

Rabby,  I have one these sprayers but the 240v version, had it for years and only changed the pumps a couple of times. I upgraded it to 70psi works a treat. I would imagine you could fit a new 240v set up and it would pay for itself thereafter.

Thats what I was thinking Derek.
Back to Maplins tomorrow.
How much is the pump?
Cheers
Rab.

That is the unfortunate bit, it will probably cost you £100.00 plus for the shurflo pump, but do a search for the best price. But it is either that or put your £500.00 back on the shelf unused. Do you not have any guarantee for the new parts you bought for it as it is not fit for purpose.

Hi Rabby
It might be a battery problem.Try these guys for a new battery http://www.budgetbatteries.co.uk/industrial-batteries/ after doing a bit of research on the multispayer website as I have had loads of problems in the past, but working like a dream now.

Hi Rabby
I bought a mains charger/converter from Maplins for £20 so that could help you tell if its a battery or a charging fault.

Hi Rabby
I have a couple of multi sprayers only faults i find with them is one/off switch wires easy to catch when changing bottles over, then have to play about a little to get it to work again, also standard male /female connectors very poor and leak after few weeks best to upgrade to heavier ones.

Same problems as you Rab, had 2 of them 1 was mains and 1 battery also had 3 batteries and 2 pumps like you owes me ££££ now dumped! I bought mine from SolutionsUK and although it worked well and I loved it when it did the fact that it didn't last says it all.

Don't like knocking suppliers but Nick had loads of problems with these that's why he doesn't sell them now, Extracta sell something like which may be better.

battery powered sprayers are for girls, what you need to do is take a big swig of water, then hold it in your mouth, then add a few drops of M/S, gargle and then sneeze. thats how real men do it. ;D

Hi Wrexhamclean. Tried that, no joy.
Hi Shaun, just what I suspected. Don't like knocking suppliers either, but rather than sorting it out, seems like they just denied there was a problem.
Bah.
