Any tips to a newbie.
Im out tomorrow in the morning and out all day. Leaflets at the hip. Any advice?
-
Yeah dump the flyers and knock the door, keep a record of the ones out so you can go back on them another time and get as many business cards out even to the ones who have a windy allready, just say. May i leave you my card incase your circumstances change. Its suprising how many ppl keep those cards incase their windy gives up or gets the sack. People like to see a face and hear a voice rather than pick up a phone blindly

No need to dump them im knocking with the flyer.
Only a6 flyer so its only small.
-
You only need to get 1 customer thats it...then another 1...thats it...then another 1.
Good Luck
Dave.

Cheers lads,
I was thinking of just saying.
"Hello there, sorry to bother you im just in the area expanding my window cleaning round. (while handing over flyer)
would you be interested in having your windows cleaned?"
-
I just smile and say,"Hello, would you like a window cleaner?".The vast majority will tell you they've already got one but plenty seem to take the leaflet in case anything changes.
-
thats certainly to the point craig. Anybody else?

Hi Adam,
The line you were thinking of using is great, just drop the "sorry to bother you" if your apologising it already puts you on a back foot - remember to smile, make eye contact and don't sound apologetic when giving them your price.
Oh and don't take the No's personally and you'll do just fine!
-
Taken that on board Alistair Stott thanks pal.
would you all bother knocking in light rain rubbish weather like it is today. Personally I think it may put
some customers off if its all miserable out there.
can anyone back that up?
thanks
-
dont bother in the rain it looks desperate.
Try
Hello im a local window cleaner, im calling to tell residents about my prices and service, would you like to know what i would charge to do your house?

Spot on there, I leaflet first, then call within 48 hrs and ask if they got my flyer.
Having said that, I will now try "im calling to tell residents about my prices and service" line in there sometimes to see how I do.
