Would the Deluxe be too cumbersome for normal rooms in houses ? i know its only 3inc bigger but it looks a lot bigger
-
And least if you have the Deluxe you'll be able to cope with any big jobs that come your way... You might be limitting yourself if you go with the mini!!! I use nothing else but the deluxe and 99% of my jobs are domestic.
-
That sounds sensible i suppose i will get some commercial work in the near future.
Im sure i read somewhere about a 300 psi filter for the scrubba instead of the 100 psi one as standard do you know how much they cost ?
-
I only pump 135psi through mine!! I've noticed it's leaking at the join now so I need to get it sorted out!!!
Not too sure about the filter thing though.... I'm sure John or Brian will sort you out at Extracta, their customer service is second to none.
-
Just be careful if you buy a high psi machine that you dont use it at high psi on something designed for lower psi.
-
Although the Deluxe is wider and therefore allows better coverage. The mini scrubba is very manouverable, great for tight spaces.
They are both great machines on domestic and commercial. My personal fav is the mini, as it is much easier to use. Instaed of having a handle that locks into position, it moves freely rather like an upright vacuum cleaner. It's effortless work compared to the deluxe imo

Might have to treat myself to a mini then.... Certainly easier than hauling the Deluxe up flights of stairs!!!
-
Collin treat yourself to a rotary :)
Or a 3 vac set ups ;D
-
I did a 3 bed today and I could hardly move with my Deluxe.... A rotary would have been even more cumbersome I would have thought!
And as for the triple vac, I have to wait.... the boss said ;D
-
Least your workin coll and making money :)
I dont use my buffer much in small bedrooms either..
Treat youself lol
-
Using your "Buffer" in the bedroom.... Fnarr Fnarr!!!! ;D
-
8) ;D
-
can these scrubbas be used with any portable
-
Yes
-
is a small one one better
-
All I know is that the deluxe is fantastic, does a really cracking job! And I'm confident the the smaller one will prove to be an invaluable asset to my arsenal...
-
Collin you have got used to using your scrubber so will be strange when you get a dif set up at first. :)
-
They are compatible with most machines and to be honest, I half doubt that I'll never find anything better than the Scrubba... the RX20 looks a mean piece of kit come to think of it. If you've never used a Scrubba, perhaps you should Clinton.... A very under rated piece of epuipment!
I'll still use it with my tri vac "Mean Mo Fo" of a machine when I get it ;D ;D ;D
-
Had a go with a rotavac 360 and that was quite a small area it can work in also you don't need to raise the handle up and down to move it from side to side it also can be used for hard floor but a bit pricy.
Shaun
-
Collin your gettin a new machine ???
Used to use a powerbrush years ago :) Ashcombe was the pre alltec company..
-
Not until the end of the year Clinton... What about you?
-
Clinton's getting that Alltec I feel it in my water ;D
Shaun
-
Mind reader ;D
-
Collin
Need to start upgrading all my gear so am getting the new alltec 3 vac to start, then a bigger van then maybe bigger machine later in the year. :)
-
Never been a better time to get a 2nd hand van as they can't get rid, pick up a Vito or a VW transporter as they last a long time body work wise.
Shaun
-
yes your right shaun and am lookin to get a citreon dispatch later in the year as it will just about fit in my garage and will fit a prowler or small t mount :)
Hear some companys will be lopping off money in the summer as there is a backlog of stock..
-
Reckon a Dispatch or Shaun's recommended Vito are going to be a bit tight for a t/m let alone weight problems
-
Despatch is far cheaper than a vito and if you get one 12 months old you'll get a wedge off the was new price as citroens don't hold value like a mercedes.
Shaun
PS Not made for a Prowler but sod the weight I have a SWB ducato and I bet it's close I'll have to get rid of the passengers on either side ;D
-
No waste tank thankfully ;D
Yes bet your close sometimes and bet 75 pct of them are overweight trouble is it a stretch nowadays for that offence ::)
-
Didn't know that, only trouble is that most vans are bigger in size but don't actually carry more weight.
Shaun
-
Clinton
It's not so much the waste tank as to a full fresh water tank.
No point in having a t/m & then fart arsing around trying to connect up to a customers water supply before you even start to clean
-
Shaun
Thats what i was looking at and thought they do checks here sometimes.
With the dispatch type i can get a water tank and a prowler in also portie and vac etc.Think dave ingrams new set up will fit in also and thats with a waste tank..
-
It's a smaller tank on that, you'll not get a porti in aswell but why have a dog and bark yourself, you can reach any job if you really want to!
ECS I totally agree, I carry a small hose reel but it's a faf refilling I look around to use the customers if I can but don't always need it.
Shaun
-
Ecs is right on that one.
Shaun your prob right not getting the portie in as well thats my imagination on overtime ;D
-
If you carry a porti you will never stop using it, you'll think to yourself that your TM won't reach and won't believe in it.
Shaun
-
Guess you right on that one, just saw joes set up with everything in house.
-
Shaun
Water:- ...' you look around to use the customers water if you can'... I look around to use the customers water if I have to.
Guess one of us must come from Yorkshire ;)
-
Joes got the same van as me, but a bigger one won't fit in your garage.
Shaun
-
See it's not just me ;D
Shaun
-
All these yorkshiremen ;D
Yes wont fit in a van your size so a medium size for me i guess and hopefully the bike will fit in too,and both the cars on the drive..
-
2 cars,a bike, and a van!! do you live in a hotel?
Shaun
-
Shaun
Hotel
Not as rich as you ;D
-
Everyone's poor in Yorkshire, we have a place in Sheffield called Corncorde but as close as we get to it!
Shaun
-
I know everyone says it, and people were telling me but... I wish I'd got a bigger van. ::)
Even just another foot on a mwb would make all the difference, although I'd probably be moaning about parking difficulties if I had.
Considering sorting a frame for the water tank and put the TM above.
You be alright with a Prowler Clinton. ;)
-
Need to be careful making your own as they need baffles, Alltec sell under TM tanks for £995 as do HM.
Shaun
-
Mike hope so :)
Your vans ok mike and the right size as the parking with lwb will be hard..
-
That's why I use a swb, went to a house today which was road side, a swb van is about the same length as a midium ish car so I just swapped places with him.
Shaun
-
Is double parking with hazzards alight not an option in Sheffield ???
-
Is it allowed in some councills ???
Wonder how many are over the limit with weight ???
-
I would have blocked the street as it was quite a narrow road and someone was parked on the other side of the road.
Shaun
-
I was on my way to a job the other week and went through Helston Town centre, the street was completely blocked by a bin lorry with it's hazards flashing... 5 minutes passed and the operatives were nowhere to be seen and the town is in grid lock. Then the two blokes came walking out of the pasty shop as cool as you like and got back in the lorry and drove off.....
I can't wait 'til I can do that ;D
-
I think it's called an essential service. ;D
Shaun
-
Collin ;D
Same here i keep thinking at least 3 jobs last week i couldnt park up near the house ::)
-
Collin did you manage to sell your extrcta then ???
What did you buy to replace it?
-
As Goron said a while back, down here in Cornwall the roads are so narrow!
Like yourself Clinton, I'd like a tri vac first and then a new, bigger van.... Perhaps a VW with 6 seats (3 removable) so we can loose the Discovery (Diesel munching machine) and go back to being a 2 car family... The TM can wait until I have the demand. (i.e. more jobs to crack out in a day)
I got £670 for the back up machine and the new owners came over from Wembley for it.... in a Ford Focus :o :o :o
They got it in somehow! I'm sticking with the one machine for now as I find it easy enough to work on when things go wrong :-\
-
I think it's called an essential service. ;D
Shaun
thats why we have flashing becaons fitted on our van and a red sign say em. flood work in progress
-
If I get caught out Clinton, there's a shop that hires Rug Doctors out for £17 a day.... I can't go wrong ;D ;D ;D
-
Collin
Thats the way to go mate and even though i have a good client base i find i can manage but thought i would get the 3 vac first for more power then a new van and then move up to prowler as well, thing is i dont want to be just working all day every day as i have free time to do my hobbies ie biking and gym etc.
Just thought i need to upgrade this yr so then i will be set up for many years to come as i havnt upgrade for years :)
Just you need the work to justify the t mount and dont forget it needs fuel.
Yes you can manage with just your 1 machine and i had 2 back ups that i sold because of the room they took lol.
-
Nice one susan ;D
-
We have small roads also and back to back terraced houses where you have to park in the gennel but you do it as the prize is money.
Shaun
-
Collin
Do you use your discovery for the work ???
Or do you have a van ???
Like the idea of a 4 x 4 and did consider it last yr as there are c cleaners who use a vast amount of dif vehicles and they set there stall out to suit them..
Think units are going to get smaller in the next few years and like most things from cars bikes tv,s etc they become smaller but with more power.
Might even get a gennie at some point to run the set up ???
-
In the US they have direct drive TM's like the butler system that's supposed to be the Rolls Royce, they get their power from the van engine.
Shaun
-
Think there is a guy on the other forum with something similar ???
Even a picie of his set up..
Said he is using a burner with his electric machine ???
-
Dave Ingram made a machine like that but burners are big so I don't think it was for a small van, I have an idea how to make a heated TM I may one day make it and put it in a trailer as a spare for me.
Shaun
-
Did you see the post shaun ???
Might pimp mine new machine up when i get the new van ;)
-
i used to have that machine, I bought it from Dave about 6 years ago, the burner does take space but it definately worth it but you do need more upgrades to accomodate it ie better solution pipe that will take the heat, Mike Halliday is your man for that.
Shaun
-
Ah thought it was a new set up as the guy is in america :)
-
The Disco's the wifes Clinton and she has a Mini too (A proper one!) I have an ex post van with yellow and black lettering for work.... a custy commented on how I am becoming know as "The man in the little red van" >:( I'll show them ;D ;D ;D
-
Collin
Should be the other way round mate ;D
You should have the discovery ;)
Ah yes i know what van it is then..
-
Have you got a cat called Jess? unless the dogs have eaten it!!
Shaun
-
???
-
Postman Pat ? red van? cat called Jess?
Shaun
