hi,been going about six months now use a portable woodbridge what is a good general prespray for heavy soiled domestic carpets been using prochem multi pro want to try some other makes thanks grant...

I am far from experienced on this matter but like you use Multi-Pro on synthetics. We have Trafficlean lined up for real bad areas (as yet unused). We rinse using Fibre and Fabric Rinse.
For wool we use Prespray Gold and rinse with Liquid Woolsafe, this has worked very well this far.
I am interested in hearing what the more experienced guys out there use and think.

Powerburst from Prochem is great stuff - I use it most of the time on anything moderately to heavily soiled.

I tend not to go in with all guns blazing ie I use the least aggresive cleaning fluid it takes to clean a carpet.
That means generally high ph fluids are not my first point of call (although I have them in my arsenal).
Something like M-Power, Pure Clean or DFC210 are what I would reach for on light-med soiling.
At the moment anything between med-heavy soiling I prefer use the former but a light spray of Solutions Heavy Duty just prior to extraction or Double Clean. Powerburst I reserve for greasy carpets ie kitchen or restaurant.
I use all these as presprays, and rinse with just plain water or sometimes with acidic rinse like Hydramaster Clear Water Rinse but thats more for the benefit of the tubes on my TM - I am fortunate to be in a soft water area and do not get a build up of deposits.
-
I hit 80% of jobs with Powerburst and acid rinse on wool or plain water rinse on synthetics.

i have been using one step premium fineline on wool and wool mix carpets rinsed with ffr or traffic clean on synthetics and power burst on greasy commercials
-
There's any amount of pre-sprays out there that do a good job, we use Pure Clean, Multisolv, Blitz and even Champion if necessary. Going to give Powerburst a go in place of the Blitz when I next place an order.

i use power burst at mo its very very good better than blitz imo

Trafficlean and Powerburst followed by Crystal Green or Double Clean.
PSG on wool followed by F and F Rinse.

John,
next time you use Powerburst try just plain water rinse, you will prob find that the result is just the same and you will cut costs.

And mix it up nice and hot as well - makes it easier to dissolve and seems to break down heavily soiled areas better that way.
-
so how much of power burst do u say put in a 5ltr sprayer ?
-
1 Level scoop per litre water

make sure the water is hot hot hot ;)
