Title: Ruined a window today
Post by: ftp on April 02, 2009, 05:19:39 pm
Had two panes of glass in a split sash window to clean today, i've cleaned them loads of times it's all old single pane glass. Both panes seemed to have mineral deposits on them (the patio had been jet washed) so out comes my expensive Windsol Crystal Clear 550 and I soak both panes. One comes up ok but the adjacent one turns milky and streaky - totally wrecked can't blade it, buff it or wash it off. I think the stuff has instantly etched the glass somehow - anyone else had this?

No but I've come across a product that I'm gonna try. It's called "hobright" it's for cleaning ceramic hobs with. makes a great job of ours, gets all the scum off. Get it from most supermarkets. ;)
