Title: Peugeot Partner Radio....AARRGGHH !!

What the hell is wrong with my pugs radio....

Its ok for about 10 secs and then the volume goes down to zero !

Its winding me up big style...

anyone help....

have you disconnected the battery. i think they are coded. mine had a genuine one in but he had lost the code so changed the radio. they work in different ways some play but very quiet othere dont come on at all

i just picked it up on fri

So the battery could have been disconnected

what make of stereo is it, i can decode some others are too hard to do. i think they are clarions as standard.  will have a look to see if i can do it. otherwise its going to cost you between 10 and 25 quid for the code check all your handbook etc to see if there is one written down.

  It wont be a coded radio, it is the same as my Berlingo, they are built in units - I'd say its knackered, if you have only just got the van take it back.

does it have the remote stalk on the steering column?  Mine does and I replaced the stereo with and alpine and I had from a previous car at that still does it occasionally, so I think it is a problem with the remote wiring rather that the stereo.

if your lucky its writtern in the vans handbook. if not what model is the stereo
