Did a quote yesterday for a suite and quoted my normal price , got a bit of a shocked expression and was then confronted by an extremely prof looking leaflet knocked on fri night by a cowboy after ten cans of special brew and he must of missed a 0 out cause how can you clean a suite for 30 quid.
After a little chat i asked if she had contacted the xxxx company she said yes and they said it would only take them half an hour to do it and wont take long before its dry.
Well i got the job at the price i originally quoted after explaing it would take me around 2 .5 to 3.5 hours and it will be on its way to being dry when i leave.
then got another two jobs on same estate too happy days
Is anyone else comin across this sort of crazy pricing

Rich these guys have been around for years and will be for years to come. They can't comprehend you actually have to run a business and think they are earning a couple of hundred quid a week and are doing well.
Don't worry about them they aren't your competition.

I was cleaning a ladies stairs landing the other day when she showed me this leaflet she had through . for not much more than I was charging they cleaned a 4 bedroom house throughout and got rid of all your asthma for you ::)
She wasnt fooled by it and was just laughing while telling me ,most people are not that stupid and see through these clowns.

I had a call regarding a sofa clean yesterday.... She wanted to do it herself and the last C/C she had rang suggested she hired a "Proper Upholstery" machine ???
I told her it would be cheaper to get a professional in because by the time she'd bought the proper chems, hired a couple of air movers and spent a full day doing a half decent job, she'd be well into the false economy zone!!! Said she'd ring back.... Price shopper alert ;D ;D ;D

Been one going around our way quoting £125 for a 4 bed house and free suite clean,i charge more than that to do a suite !

went on an oriental rug cleaning course in epson last tuesday, & passed a car with carpet cleaning graphics on it, it red any 3 rooms cleaned for £49.99.... it beggers belief, most be using the old bold washing powder! charlie ;D

Just shows how a good standard we have of work and the clients like i have who would never choose them.

I know what you mean, got called in for a quote in a local village gave the customer my quote she also seemed shocked but not as shocked as i was after see the leaflet she produced say 3 bedroom house carpets cleaned throughtout £55.00 what a joke.
There springing up all over the place, I think we should be doing a cull shortly. Lol

Clinton ;D most of my work, about 85% is database custom, they never mention how much, they book in, i do the job & they pay me.... when i get a call for a quotation & all they are interested in is the price, i lose interest very quickly.... there more concerned about the price than the quality of the job.... i always mention price last of all, after i've ground them down ;D ;) charlie
