Our local Focus' windows are opaque with dirt. The manager says it's on central contract but he hasn't seen the wc in ages?
Does anyone on the forum have the contract?

I would think in these times of recession its more than likely the wc hasnt been paid for a while so isnt cleaning them till he does get his money...
OR the big boss has cancelled non essential things, like window cleaning !

They offered me the local contract down here but just not worth it.
Windows have to be done when the shop is closed to customers so the insdie of the entrance can only be done during staff training which is after closing. The whole front foyer had a total of 24 6ft high panes of glass and they wanted both side done so 48 panes plus the inside doors so another 12 panes of 6ft glass ALL for £20........ They wanted the windows once a month and the cladding jetwashed to clear away "bird waste" every 3 months...... Max they would pay for the jet washing was £100.
Aparantly someone has the contract to do all their Cornwall shops at that rate and a lot of their Devon stores to.
I politely said no thanks....
Regards
Mr H

We have covered some of those for our contact and we are told just ground floor in out only accessable windows and weve cleaned them open or not . all the focus are done through the one cleaning companie as far as im aware.

I was thinking the same thing about the same stores today!!
Crouch_400 could you email the name of the cleaning company who has the contract mate, the ones in Plymouth could do with a clean!!

I did one of them upto and including this month. They have now stopped having them cleaned or have changed the contracter not sure which but I recieved a letter to say no windows were to be cleaned at Focus from 31 March

a couple of months ago I noticed my local focus was minging and offered our services to the manager. she said they'd got a visit on and could pay out of the petty cash. unfortunately we never got around to pricing it up properly due to the work load but it'd wouldve been around 150 for the high level wfp.
I think they're there for the taking.

well from what i hear from a supplier, Focus will be one of the next to go
so i wouldn't be chasing the work off them
