Title: unger wash brush what do you think?
Post by: Adam_london_uk on March 29, 2009, 11:18:36 am
I have found this

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/80890/Cleaning/Window-Cleaning/Extendable-Washbrush

Do you think this is ok to get me started? Cleaning polycarb roofs? That way I can buy the unger heads etc.

I think there was someone on here posting about that brush unit a while back, if its the same one apparently the whole pole fills with water, thers no 6mm pipework inside it, so when its full its heavy.

No not really, it's only a 6 foot pole, you can't even properly reach a medium sized conservatory roof with that.

Plus, if you ever wanted to start wfp window cleaning, it would be useless.

If you want to cheaply get a conservatory/water fed pole, here is what you do:

Get a Harris pole from B&Q (Decorating section), plus a cheap Bentley brush, plastic goose neck and some pole hose, and your done for less then £30. :)

just got this from matts site ,posted by dai

You can also fit an Unger no4 section to the bottom if you take the plastic handle off, I have used it with an Unger no1 on the top and the Unger 4 and 5 sections on the bottom. It gives you a good 15ft extra.

Because I think the water is pumped through the pole, its really hard to get any pressure from a normal shurflo pump, and the jets were a bit on the large side for my liking.... although if you could modify it with some pole hose?

mmm I have found this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Water-fed-Pole-13-Feet-Glass-Fibre-Unger_W0QQitemZ270208780230QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA?hash=item270208780230&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262

What you think?

Looks nice and sturdy and I think I could reach most roofs with this. Saves messing with the extensions and then i can use my other brush just for the gutters!

is this a good price?
