Anyone use them, I'm thinking of getting one (instead of a roof rack) as I only use ladder for access now, do they last, and are they a pain to put up and down?

I looked at a set but they seemed heavy and pricey to me. Probably cheaper to get a roof rack.

funny you ask about ladders, ive just got some from one of thoese shopping channels, 3.75mtrs for the price of £75 + £9 delivery, they are ace, can reach up to the bottom of first floor window, not to heavy,do feel a bit funny going up them, just make sure they klick lock, as you extend them out,,i havent got my ladders off the van all week,,just remember if you get anything off one of them channels you can end up with a call back to process the order at anytime,as i did,,,infact 2.30am from some indian who i could,nt understand a word of.....kev

They're not that expensive on Ebay, this ones under £90, and I've only just started looking.

Be careful of your fingers in them ones. They drop down and they could close on your fingers if not careful.
I've a multipurpose folding ladder and find it much safer and stromger. Takes up more space tho..

Would you recommend a foldable ladder more then, I saw a 3m one in my local Wickes for about £90, are the telescopic that dangerous then?

Did you get it from this ebayer Derek?

I put 2 of these in each of my vans and they are fantastic, they take up no room at all very good for going through a customers house or flat roof access.

I bought some from ebay, for £75, about 1yr ago. looked the same as the makes that are £150. But mine lasted about 15 openings and then disintegrated. Also if u use for flat roofs u need a bit of weight to make sure the ladder doesn't slide as u get on and off.
I think if u pay good money for one then a good idea.
Seems a good thing but best buy locally with good warranty.
