I have an 04 T280 ,runs like clockwork, have a 500 litre tank in the back and honestly don't realise it's there, they are very robust vans and are simply great, when I went to the dealers I did fancy the Vivaros and wanted to test drive an ex-Sky model and even the dealer told me to stay well clear as they are known for their gearboxes going so he said you can't go wrong with a Transit and I am so glad I did,the pulling power is amazing and thats with the birds too! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
You made  the right choice! ;)
To stop rusting I just look around and keep an eye for some under the arches etc.,a quick gentle rub with a brillo pad gets rid of it without damaging the paintwork,if you keep on top of it every couple of months it will prevent damage in the future and it only takes a few seconds to do!

the 330 has a payload of 1.5 tonnes as well so you can get a hefty tank in that if needed ;)
