I am looking for, one of these long tube containers you get on roof racks for carrying poles, can anyone suggest anywhere, I just cant seem to find anyone that sells them.
cheers

You can make them out of waste pipe from your local plumbers merchants they will also have the end caps.
Also wickes sell the bits or used to.
Then go to halfords they sell metal straps for these which is about a tenner.
Cost maybe £30 in all.

Pipe clamps £15.99 a pair at halfords. Anyone think the screws look a little weak when you zoom over the image?

p and r where did you get yours and how much, I've been looking at these
http://www.vangadgets.co.uk/pipe_carriers_tube_carrier_conduit_roof_rack.htm
they seem dear, and would need the 150mm*(6inch) by 3200mm*(10.5 feet), thats £200 :'(.
Is that the going rate for these.
the poles I want to store, are 3 meters long. Definately wont fit inside my kangoo, thats where I am keeping the ones I have at the mo, but want bigger ones.

I had a result as my brother inlaw works for a local rental company, custy wanted a tube on a rental van but they got the wrong size so i got i t for £30 and paid £6 for 2 of them brackets to connect it to the roof rack.
