Title: most enjoyed day today
Post by: edd on March 26, 2009, 08:11:08 pm
today I had the best days window cleaning ever , all because I used a tucker
brush. We have been wfp for 3 a bit years but never would of believed that a
brush could make the work so enjoyable , it lightish and it splays really nice but
the BEST THING is that other brush makers have failed to do is make the brush in
white plastic NOT black so it doesn't leave black marks on the window sills and frames all in all very very impressed Edd

I have never ever marked a frame or sill with any black brush. (Ionics, Superlites)

You must be talking about Vikans.

Interesting point - my original Salmon's from Peter Fogwill were white (with blue brushes)

The Superlight single trim I have is all white but I normally favour the dual trim which has a black stock and never leaves any marks as far as i'm aware. Never tried the Tucker because when I looked it was fifty pounds or more and still had to be bodged to fit anything else. At the time I was happily using Bentley brushes at £1.50 a time. Although not great brushes the Bentleys still did the job in my first year.
As for Gardiners Superlights - yes they are fine by me. The dual trim is better than single trim but not by a huge magin. Some swear by the flocked version but they all do the same job more or less.
You know when you've got a good brush when you stop thinking about it. I just clean and come home these days - no more bristle fondling in B&Q anymore!
