Yes
I use this

You'll need a barbed reducer to connect a short peice of 1/2 " hose to the end of a reel of microbore and a couple of jubilee clips so it fits and then a hoselock type hose tail for your pole hose.
Cheap and last longer, replaced mine once in 18 months, plus another benefit is if you do break it whilst working you,re never too far from a shop where you can just buy a cheap hoselock to make do and not lose hours of work (or at that price carry a spare) B&Q do them

Like I said in a previous post got this made up about 6 months ago not a leak in sight.
this is a hydraulic fitting cost me about £30 for the tap/connectors and converted 3 poles.

I use those Gardena fittings sometimes too. Do you find that they are prone to squirting a small jet out of the screw hole area when not fully open? My last three have been like that.

I hav'nt noticed that to be honest, usually open tap fully and use an ecoflow controller to adjust the flow rate.

no need to order, check out your local garden centre or B&Q they should have them
yes it will fit 8mm but you will need a reducing barbed plastic hose joiner, 12mm down to 8mm and then a short lenth of ordinary garden hose just to fit the tap to and a couple of jubilee clips.
I'll take a pic if you like.
