I know this may sound a bit stupid but are the hoses off most makes of cleaner interchangeable? Thanks Gordon

Get some decent quality solution hoses mate as intime the will weaken at the joints and split when your working :o

Up until recently most suction hoses used by professional portable machines were 1.5" diameter.
These were push fit onto a stub at the machine end and push fit onto the wand or hand tool.

Some portable machines now have 2" dia suction hoses.
Truck mount machines are usually 2", but 2.5" is not uncommon.

So, yes, size for size, most suction hoses are interchangeable.

Solution hoses are pretty standard with regards to the fitting, brass male on one end and female on the other end. Machine normally has a female connection and the wand or hand tool a male connection.
SO yes these are interchangeable.

Thing to be careful with solution hoses though is the pressure the hose is manufactured to withstand.
The smaller portable machines may have a solution hose capable of lower pressures then the bigger portables and truck mount machines.
Its would NOT be advisable to fit a lower pressure solution hose to a machine that needs a higher pressure,although it would be ok to fit a higher pressure hose onto a machine that requires lower pressure.
