Title: Best Value Spotter ?
Post by: Matt Read on April 07, 2005, 08:34:09 pm
I've been thinking about buying a small spotting/stain removal machine...Ashby's spot plus has caught my eye.
Any advice on better value spotters available would be appreciated .

I bought a numatic ctt370, 1000 watt vacuum, think it has a 70psi pump, ample for just spotting, small enough to fit in the corner of van and less than £200! Bargain!

Would like to give an unbiased opinion on the pro type but don’t own one! Waiting for one to fall of the back of something!

So right he reminds of the advert nuts whole hazel nuts!! But we love him, can’t remember who said that must be dead by now!

Hi People

Anyone tried the AMTECH CFR Pro spotter ?  It looks a very good buy, but could the 89 inch water lift be problematic if using this for a small carpet job ?

Ahhh...but would it arrive quicker than the free samples of microsplitters you promised me Nick ?  ;)

How much is it btw and is the heated tank capable of high temp like ashbys which has the steammate inside ? Heat is is something i'm keen on having in the spotter.

Cheers Steve.

Yes i do apologise nick...they have arrived and i shall be trying them out soon.

Are you allowed to give prices on here for equipment or is it considered advertising ? Also i can't say i'm that impressed with your website for solutions...no mention of the hotshot for example ...seeing a pic on there would be nice plus i'm sure you must sell lots more equipment than you list on there...just a thought.... maybe your hands are tied on that in some way.

I haven't had the time to make a decision yet ron, i had a job lot of ashby's equipment fall my way at the right price ,from a failed franchise,so i put it on hold, need to get it sorted soon tho for when the students clear off home,my local supplier does the cfr spotter, any good mark ? i haven't seen a pic of the solutions spotter yet ,the ashby's steam mate spotter was my original choice but i now have the portable steammate from the recent purchase so its not essential anymore,,,in other words i still don't have a clue !
